REFEREE MEETING
National Assessor "Jerry Cova" will be making a presentation at the meeting
and assessing matches for those who are State Referees and higher.
7:30PM Friday (04-29-11)
Oldham County Middle School
(next to North Fields)

As you might not be aware, this year's tournament is significantly smaller than it was last year.  While we only have 164 games to cover, the tournament's popularity within the referee community has continued to grow.  Of the 124 referees who applied, I was able to assign games to about half.  In this light I sincerely appreciate everyone's application and hope that next year the tournament returns to its normal size of over 300 games.  Several senior referees have been assigned as paid mentors in an effort to further the development and success of our game.  As always, those who have been assigned as a spare referee will need to remain in the north referee tent during the entire time slot or until released to receive payment.  Those who were assigned as mentors or fourth officials will need to see me for payment.

We have several referees who have formed crews.  Those identified as a "crew chief" will need to email me with their assignment plan before Friday.  The following crews have been accepted into this year's tournament:

Everyone is encouraged to attend Friday night's referee meeting at 7:30PM at Oldham County Middle School (4305 W Highway 146, Buckner, KY 40010-9590).
This year's feature speaker will be National Assessor and former National Referee Jerry Cova from St. Louis, MO.  The meeting is expected to last from 7:30-9:00PM.
Prizes including referee flags and a new wheel bag, will be given away.  All referees attending will receive a tournament t-shirt with the USSF logo.  Pizza and drinks will also be provided.

All referees will need to park in the middle school parking lot or along the lot on the west side of the school (this is actually the closest paved parking available).

Please check-in at the referee tent at your site at least 30 minutes before your first game.
